Ski Insurance Review - Travel

As we reach into winter, no doubt the group of people that fancies the snow would head up into the icy areas to do some skiing. On company known as Ski Insurance is an insurer that I found to be able to offer complete insurance for people heading to the slopes. Judging by their website, they are owned by 1Cover and issued by Allianz. If you know your acts, you would know that these two companies are two of the most well known in Australia.

Also, at the bottom of their website was a logo that showed their website has been tested daily to ensure it is hacker-free. I thought this was a great way to give customers a peace of mind that they are buying from a trusted source.

Through my eyes it seems to me that all their covers automatically includes ski related coverage such as features for snow ski equipment hire, ski pack, piste closure, and bad weather closure.

There are four plans to choose from; Annual, International, Domestic and Professional, however for some reasons the page that lists the cover summary only showed Single Trip And Annual Multi-Trip, and Australia Only Trip.

Anyhow, I was still particularly impressed by the things you will be able to get out of the Single Trip And Annual Multi Trip plan. The most important thing is that a policy can be taken out by Single, Duo and Family Cover, which means everyone. I was also pretty happy with the excess because all the features that had excess were only up to $100. Single and Duo almost have the same claim limits, and Family’s limits are almost twice as much as everything the first two covers offered.

Furthermore, I was very impressed to see that unlimited covers are included for overseas hospital, emergency, cancellation fees and emergency rescue. The claim limits on the other hand, are also very impressive. You can get up to $100,000 for additional expenses, $10,000 for luggage/personal effects, and up to $500 for domestic pets.

In the next plan made for domestic travels, again a cover can be bought by Single, Duo and Family. The disadvantage is that there are several things not included in this policy such as travel documents, credit cards, alternative transport expense and domestic pets. However, the advantages is that for the things that are included, several of them have unlimited coverage like cancellation fees and emergency rescue. It is actually pretty uncommon for domestic plans to have unlimited features, so seeing the opposite here is actually something to be glad about.
