Zuji Insurance Review

Zuji Insurance is operated by a travel firm that we have all come to know. They have traditionally been able to provide flights, hotels, holidays, car hire and now insurance as well. As I can see, it is designed for travellers heading to anywhere in the world.

Four different covers exist under four different plans. Some of them are very traditional while the rest are very innovative.

Now, the first plan is split between Comprehensive and Australia Only insurance. The comprehensive is made for international trips, and includes all the things that are offered in the domestic cover. To start off, I was glad to see that several important features offer unlimited claims like cancelation fees, medical emergency and lost deposits. Regarding the other features, I was also impressed by their high limited rates, like $50,000 of additional expenses, $5,000 for travel documents, credit cards and traveller cheques, $250 for theft of cash and many more.

Moving down the list, I found that, literally speaking, all the journeys you take in a year will be able to be insured with the Frequent Traveller plan. The period limit for each trip is 37 days for leisure and 90 days for business travels, which I think is a very reasonable amount. Looking at the features included, they are very close to the things included in the comprehensive cover like unlimited cancellation fees, lost deposits and overseas emergency costs.

Now let us move onto the more special plans that are not commonly seen.

Medical Protection is to only cover you against injuries and illness if you are going overseas. The benefits that you will get are overseas medical assistance and expense, accidental death and personal liability. The downside is that it does not offer protection for things like lost luggage and delays. The upside though is that you will get a cheaper premium only having the most important thing, your health, insured. I think this is one of the best budget policies out there.

And to finish, there is also another plan called Cancellation Only, and that is what it covers. This is the cheapest of the cheap and only covers for cancellation. The advantage with this plan however is that it can be used for both international and domestic trip, and not to mention the minimum amount you will need to pay for the cover.
